Daniel Estay, MBA
Founder & CEO
Mr. Estay is the Founder & CEO of SonoVascular. He brings over 35 years of global healthcare experience with a successful track record of building and growing medical technology businesses. He has held senior leadership positions in general management, business development and strategic planning with leading healthcare companies, including Abbott and Johnson & Johnson. He has a deep understanding of U.S. and international markets, including emerging markets in Asia and Latin America, and led Abbott’s vascular device business in Asia for 6 years while based in Tokyo, Japan. He also served as President of Verathon, Inc., a medical device company focused on airway management and bladder volume measurement.
Mr. Estay has served as a Mentor-in-Residence in Duke University’s Office of Translation & Commercialization, providing guidance to faculty and staff to assist in the acceleration and evaluation of early-stage medical technologies, and transformation into new business ventures. He also served as a member of the board of directors of Transverse Medical, a company developing a cerebral embolic protection device to prevent stroke during structural heart procedures.
Mr. Estay received his B.S. in Business Administration from Syracuse University in Syracuse, NY, and his M.B.A. from the University of Miami Herbert Business School in Miami, FL.
